Recommendation tasks
Recommendations are tasks attached to the application, with confidential content available to authorized staff and assigned reviewers.
1Set up the task
- In Forms & invitations, add a recommendation task and give it a clear name.
- Choose Upload or Secure link and questionnaire. Add the questions and options the recommender should answer.
- Use Duplicate to reuse a task’s questions, then adjust its name and requirements. Save the application form.
2Send or complete a recommendation
- For an Upload task, provide the requested recommendation document through that task.
- For a secure link, enter the recommender’s name and correct email, then send the request. The link is tied to that student and recipient.
- The recommender opens the email link, answers the questions, and submits. Students can see task progress and completion without seeing confidential responses.
3Review and manage tasks
- Check Recommendations and the student’s application for the linked request or response.
- If a recommendation is missing, verify the email and task status before sending another request. Ask the recommender to check spam or junk.
- Use delete only when the record should be removed. Removing a submitted record can reset the task to pending; removing a task can remove its associated responses and files.
